2023: Federal lawmaker identifies Atiku’s 5-Point agenda as panacea to Nigeria’s problems
The Senator Representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly and chairman of the senate committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency – FERMA – Senator Gershom Bassey has appealed to the electorate in Cross River State to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State because of the Five-Point Agenda of the party.
Bassey who is a member of the PDP presidential campaign council (PCC) made the call in Calabar on Monday at the Palace of the Ndidem of the Quas and Paramount Ruler of Calabar Municipal Local Government Area, HRM Ndidem Eta Bassey Eteta III when he and other PCC members in the state paid a courtesy visit to the First Class Monarch.
Bassey said if Atiku was elected president, his administration would implement a five-point agenda that would effectively tackle the problems confronting Nigeria.
Also speaking, the leader of the delegation and Deputy Director-General of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Council, a former Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke said it is only the PDP that has solutions to the present bad governance of APC.
In his remark, the PDP senatorial candidate for Cross River South District Ntufam Ekpo Okon said the party remains the only hope to rescue Nigeria and APC should be voted out from the government.
The National Women Leader of the PDP, Prof. Stella Effa Atoe said the current APC administration in the country is the worst and deserved to be sent packing by Nigerians at the poll in 2023.
Also in the entourage was Hon. Barrister Asuquo Ekpo Ada, former Managing Director of Cross River State Water Board Limited among other PDP members and supporters of the major opposition party in the state.
