2023: Governor Ayade’s Chief of Staff picks Senate ticket

The Chief of Staff to Cross River State Governor, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, Mr. Martins Orim has emerged as a candidate for the Cross River North Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections.

Other Senatorial candidates are Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Eteng Jones for Central Senatorial District and the immediate past commissioner for finance, Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr. running for South Senatorial District.

Hon. Legor Idiagbo, the member representing Obudu/Bekwara/Obanliku Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has clinched the APC ticket, while Hon. Emil Inyang, former Chairman of Biase Local Government Council won Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency, Hon. Jude Ngaji won Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency and Hon. Alex Egbona, former Chief of Staff to Governor Liyel Imoke, and member representing Yakurr/Abi Federal Constituency all emerged as APC candidates.

Also, Mr. Edim Inok, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairman has picked the APC ticket to represent Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency while Mr. Stanley Nsemo won Calabar Municipality State Constituency, Hon. Hilary Bisong won Boki 2 State Constituency, Mr. Agbor Bassey Njar won Ikom I State Constituency, Hon. Regina Anyogo won the Yala I State constituency and Mr. Cyril Anthony won the Yakurr I State Constituency.
