2023: PDP chieftains in Cross River tips Southern Senatorial candidate, others to win

The Vice Chairman South of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Ekpo Asuquo has revealed that Ntufam Ekpo Okon, the party senatorial candidate in the 2023 Southern Senatorial District elections would emerge victorious at the polls in 2023..

Chief Asuquo hinged his prediction on the pedigree of Ntufam Ekpo Okon who is described as a man with compassion and passion for emancipating the downtrodden in the society and an ardent lover of grass-roots development who will attract notable federal projects to the district if elected to represent Cross River Southern Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

And corroborating his view, Prince Mike Ojisi the PDP State Publicity Secretary in Cross River State said at the Party Secretariat along Mary Slessor Avenue in Calabar on Thursday that Ntufam Ekpo Okon has intimidating credentials and antecedents of other political party candidates in the 2023 Cross River Southern Senatorial District Candidates cannot match.

Speaking in a telephone chat with LENS, Mr. Anthony Edako, the State Secretary of PDP said the party will win the 2023 general elections from top to bottom given the array of its candidates insisting the party parades the best from the former Vice President and Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to candidates at the lower political rung.

The governorship candidate in Cross River State, Senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor, who is an earth-moving grass-roots mobilizer, the Northern Senatorial candidate Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Lion of the Savanah, Rt. Hon. Bassey Ewa, political doyen of the Central Senatorial District, Ntufam Ekpo Okon in Southern Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Apostle Essien Ayi the political “Isantim” in Calabar South, Akpabuyo/Bakassi, Rt. Hon Eta Mbora in Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituencies and Rt. Hon. Eta Esua in Calabar Municipal State Constituency among other notable candidates too numerous to mention.

The PDP will deliver on its avowed mandate according to the National Chairman distinguished Senator Iyorchia Ayu Twenty five-25-governorship seats, National and State Assembly members, and the President in 2023 general elections with a template to restore Nigeria.

Ntufam Ekpo Okon who was a former Cross River State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman and ex-Commissioner in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) would among others face Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo a.k.a “DANSUKI” of the Labour Party and Mr. Asuquo Ekpenyong Jnr. Of APC in the 2023 Senatorial Elections.

Meanwhile, the Re-claim Back Cross River procession wearing a white T-Shirt over black trousers and a faze-cap with the party colours and logo marched through the major streets of Calabar from the Millennium Park where the state PDP Chairman, Barrister Venatius Ikem addressed PDP members with the theme: “Restoring Our Lost Glory” said the PDP in the exercise is just an optics and test of the microphone because there is hope for Cross Riverians as things will work again when the Party reclaims power in 2023.

The walk commenced from Marian road down to Effio-Ete, MCC by Mobil and terminated at State Housing Estate park where the exercise ended.
