2023 World Music Day: Artistes harp on importance of music in propergating gospel
As the world celebrate the International Music Day on Wednesday 21st June, 2023, gospel artistes under the aegis of Enchanter (Voice of Yaweh) have resolved to consummate the day with a song festival tagged “MYSTERY OF WORSHIP” on Sunday June 25th 2023 to wind down the event.
Leaders of the group, Roseline Afubero and Ekanem Esu while fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar on Wednesday disclosed that ministers, Ani Jacobs, Anietie Isaiah and Brenis would feature at the event billed to hold at the church auditorium of Gospel House, the Home of Gospel House Ministry in Calabar with Pastor James John as chief host.
The 2023 World Music Day has as theme “Music on the INTERSECTIONS” with over 1,000 cities across the globe celebrating. The epic event is fashioned to highlight and understand the impact music generate in bringing people together, irrespective of their distinct and remote differences.
World Music Day or Fete de la Musique as is often referred to is celebrated every year on 21st June after the first world Music Day was observed in the year 1982 in France when people were urged to play music outdoor as in taking part in festivities.
Since then, World Music Day has spread to other parts of the world hence is now a global event.
Several Musicians, professionals or amateurs, come together to perform on World Music Day and several concerts are organized on this particular day playing different genres of music to the admiration and engagement of the people.
Roseline Afubero who is one of the leaders in ECHANTER (VOICE OF YAWEH) eulogised music as the catalyst to propagate the gospel of salvation and winning souls to Christ during evangelism.
