A’ Ibom governorship aspirant assures community “My performance as governor will exceed Oro’s expectations”

The frontline governorship aspirant in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Bassey Albert Akpan, a.k.a OBA, has assured the people of Oro nation that they will enjoy unhindered democratic dividends if he becomes governor in 2023, stressing that, it is his strong desire to rectify the lingering challenges confronting the area.

He made this declaration during his consultative visit to the Oron Local Government Area Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

OBA said that development must be fast-tracked in the five Local Government Areas of Oron, Mbo, Udung Uko, Urue-Offong Oruko, and Okobo, adding that such would give the Oro people a sense of belonging and reinforce their commitment and faith in the Akwa Ibom project.

The aspirant promised to see to the actualization of the proposed projects like the Ibom Deep Seaport and dual carriageway under his administration.

He, however, said that apart from addressing certain areas of concern, he will exceed the expectations of the people of the area.

“I know your expectations of me, I want to let you know that I’ll exceed your expectations because I am ready to work for Akwa Ibom, I am going to ensure that Akwa Ibom money works for Akwa Ibom. I am going to make sure that you are fully empowered. I am ready to empower you,” he said.

He charged the delegates of the party to only nominate competent candidates that will deliver in the various elective offices they are seeking.

Earlier, the Chapter Chairman of Oron PDP, Mr. Murphy Esin, said OBA has done well to tour the state to enlighten the party faithful about his plans for the state and why he should be nominated by delegates at the governorship primary.

Esin hailed OBA as a faithful party man, ambassador, and pillar whose antecedents are well felt and seen in the state.
