Commercial and other activities in the area came to a halt as people abandoned their engagements to receive the entourage.

The chapter chairman of the YPP, Mr. Ubon Ekan, in his welcome remarks thanked the state chairman for his leadership skills and appreciated the gubernatorial candidate of the party for his clean record of service.

He said that the massive crowd coming out to welcome them wasn’t an accident, but a deliberate attempt by the people to embrace the YPP.

“As you can see, the youths, the women, the elderly are all very happy to see you. They are proud of you. They have all resolved to support the party in next year’s election”, he assured.

The state chairman of the party while commissioning the party office thanked all who came out in their numbers to receive the gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bassey Albert, among others.

“I am not surprised by this massive show of love. It is because the people have accepted the YPP as the only source of hope come 2023”, Andy stated.

The Deputy Governorship candidate, AIG Asuquo Amba (rtd), the Senatorial candidate for Eket Senatorial District, Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, wife of the Deputy Governorship candidate, Chief (Mrs.) Janet Amba and other candidates all thanked the people of Ikot Abasi for “the electrifying reception” accorded them. They urged the people to support the YPP for a better Akwa Ibom.
