A’ Ibom YPP guber candidate campaign team harps on issue-based campaign
Ahead of the official campaign flag-off later this month, in preparation for next year’s election, the need to eschew bitterness in reporting and analyzing political developments on merit has been stressed.
That was part of the highlights of the discussions at the monthly meeting of the Akwa Ubok Abasi media team, held on September 13, 2022, at Senator Albert Bassey Akpan’s campaign office in Uyo.
Addressing the team, the Spokesman for the Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization, Dr. Usoro I. Usoro, charged the members to focus on issue-based campaigns and not be derailed by those whose candidates lack quality selling points.
He urged them not to be distracted by the antics of the opposition to engage in frivolities, adding that, unlike others, they have a “good product with a lot of marketable traits”.
Chief Usoro advised that in the cause of reviewing the political developments in Akwa Ibom state members should focus on how best to market their principals to the electorate by highlighting his numerous achievements, his capacity, and the impacts of his experience.
The Spokesperson assured members that Senator Bassey Akpan will surely transform the state positively when he takes over as the governor, next year.
He said the YPP governorship candidate popularly called OBA will tackle welfare issues like poverty allegations, unpaid pensions to thousands of retirees; unpaid salaries to civil servants; leave grants, promotions, etc.
Special prayers were offered for the success of Senator Akpan’s gubernatorial mission, as well as peace in the entire state.
