A non governmental organisation, Antan’s Foundation for Children and Youth Rescue in Africa has called for elaborate collaborative efforts involving government and private sector individuals and groups to provide succor and reasonably bridge the inequality gap in education among these vulnerable folks thereby giving them hope.
Deaconess Antan Effiom Etim, director of the charity organisation whose focus is on Nigeria and the African continent, made the disclosure in a chart with a LENS reporter recently in her office in Calabar.
Etim was of the view that if people in positions of authority could lend helping hand to the needy and vulnerable children in the society, the world would be a better place to live in thereby curbing vices often associated with these group.
In her reckoning, hooliganism, gangsterism, robbery and other ill pastimes are easily embraced by this population which is the insecurity problem the African continent is grappling with today.
