Akpabio Recalls Suspended NDDC Staff on Compulsory Leave

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill  Obot Akpabio has directed the immediate recall of all staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission sent on compulsory leave in April 2020.

Akpabio made this declaration while receiving the interim report of the committee set up to look into some prevailing staff matters in the commission in his office in Abuja.

Recall that Senator Akpabio who had expressed concerns about the agitation within the rank and file in the commission had set up the committee to look into the circumstances that had led to the compulsory leave approved for some management staff, promotion, appointment, and disciplinary exercise conducted.

The time line of three weeks was given to the Committee to submit its report on their findings as well as recommendations.
