Akwa Ibom 2023 Governorship Election: YPP governorship candidate adjudged best
In Akwa Ibom State today, poverty and its accompanying impact is souring. Hunger has reached a level of epidemic and can be seen on the faces and emaciating frames of the Akwa Ibom people.
Obong Bassey Albert (OBA) has promised to tackle poverty head-on by setting up an N50 billion Poverty Trust Fund. His government will contribute 50% of the fund to make money accessible to the masses who engage in small businesses.
It is not out of place to say his positive blueprint agenda shows that he is set to fight the menace of poverty. OBA has taken time to plan for the benefit of the people.
Over the years he has positively changed the lives of the underprivileged. Asides from generosity being his lifestyle, he demonstrated his guts in fighting poverty while serving as a commissioner in the State.
His capacity in terms of funds management for the common good of the people is exceptional.
OBA has also spoken of intensive training of our youths in the 21st-century market demanding skills, creating industrial clusters, and reducing the tax burden and multiple taxations among other life-impacting initiatives.
Indeed, to address poverty and discontentment in the State, OBA’s blueprint has developed robust plans to generate wealth by giving grants through cooperative societies to boost trade, employment, and empowerment efforts.
Surely, as a governor, he will give what belongs to Caeser to Caeser, instead of diverting what belongs to the citizens into his personal pocket or projecting affluence outside the state.
Under him, viable cottage industries will be established and situated in the federal constituencies to positively absorb the unemployed. Creative ideas in crafts making, fashion designing, music, movie making, etc. will be appreciated and supported with reasonable funds to expand and excel to prominence.
With the YPP’s plan to subsidize health insurance and award robust student bursary, money spent by families on medical bills and education will be reduced and surpluses used instead for household upkeep and family needs. This strategy will help increase personal and household income thereby diminishing poverty.
It is important to vote for OBA who has the capacity and experience to fight poverty. He is uniquely people-friendly, generous, and result-oriented. He is needed to chase poverty, unemployment, and selfishness away from the leadership class.
In the 2023 general elections, OBA is a ticket out of poverty and into prosperity.
