An NGO NETWOGEC celebrates Mother’s Day in 2021 conference

Networking Women for Generational Change Nigeria, NETWOGCE have celebrated Mother’s Day in Calabar, Friday as part of activities to mark their 2021 conference themed ‘Mothers of Influence’.

In her opening address Ms. Miata Sirleaf, CEO/Founder harped on anecdotal information of the body, disclosing that its core mission is to strengthen women networking with the vision to see top the growth and development of women and goal to transform women globally.

Networking Women for Generational Change (NETWOGEC) is a non-profit organization that is actively devoted to promoting women and girls’ issues in a number of ways including advocacy on women land rights, gender equity and women empowerment through skills training programs, entrepreneurship and promoting gender sensitive issues.

And fielding questions from Lens reporter, Country Director Nigeria, Ms. Mary Benjamin said the core values of NETWOGCE is accountability, transparency, advocacy on rights, food and sustainable food security, sustenance of the girl child and women generally in the society.

Some of the dignitaries and staff members at the event were Pastor Frank Obem of Destiny International Ministries, Awi, Akamkpa, Lynne Bassey, Beasi Nkanu, Mercy Patrick, Mrs Offiong Edem, Thelma Benson, Jacinta Egba, Patricia Offiong, Agatha Frank and Stella Favour.

In her closing remark Mary Benjamin urged participants to exhibit positive influence in their homes and society in accordance with the theme of the event ‘Mothers of Influence’.
