It was a hilarious moment on Sunday, 10 October when faithful of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Calabar field held a thanksgiving service to induct the Deputy Field Superintendent and wife, Pastor, and Deaconess (Mrs.) Joseph O Ewa at 32 Edgerley Road field temple of the church in Calabar, Cross River State.
The occasion which was chaired by Pastor D. Williams (JP) featured a presentation of gifts by Edgerley, Inyene Abasi, Edibe Edibe Districts, and choir rendition.
In his exhortation at the event, Pastor D .A . Efanga (JP), Calabar Field Superintendent, admonished Christians to always give to minister’s of the gospel to appreciate their calling as priests of the tribe of Levi in the Bible whom God instructed the children of Israel to give offering for their upkeeps citing Numbers 18;6,11-20.
The sermon was titled “THE PRIEST DUE” referencing Mathew 10;5-10. While fielding questions from a LENS Reporter, Pastor Odionka Nyong, area and chairman local organizing committee (loc) of the event described the celebrant who assumed duty there in march 2018 as a detribalized, dynamic, compassionate, accomplished, passionate, and strong preacher of the word whose sermons oftentimes revolves around teachings on righteousness.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Ekpe E Offiong, Calabar field secretary expressed gratitude for the success of the programme while Pastor and Deaconess Ewa appreciated all those who attended and contributed in one way or the other to its success. She returned all glory to God.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion include Pastor. E . O Etim, assistant secretary and Pastor A . E Inyang, Field Accountant.
