Apostolic cleric charges Christians to stop sitting on the fence and witness in his book launch

A cleric and pastor of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), Essien District, Efut Abua Area in Calabar Field of Cross River State, Pastor Nathaniel Asuquo Inameti have charged Christians to step out of their comfort zones to fulfill the mandate of the Great Commission.

He gave the admonition at the launch of his books held on Sunday December 17, 2023, titled “23 Impactful lessons for Every Christian” and “Ye Are my witness, Witnessing Beyond the Bench” in the church auditorium referencing Psalm 68:11 “The Lord gave the word: Great was the company those that published it,” stressing that witnessing as the life wire of Evangelism to win lost souls to Christ would not be complete without writing and publishing books. This according to him is what inspired him to share the stories which should resonate with Christians on the different ways of living a life of purpose.

The reviewer of the books and compere at the occasion, Rev. (Dr.) Edem Ekpo of the Presbyterian Church Nigerian (PCN) said the sub-title, “Witnessing Beyond the Bench” holds a deeper meaning and is an invitation to Christians to step out of their comfort zones in order to move beyond the realm of faith, and actively engage in the beautiful, messy and sometimes challenging work of witnessing.

Doubling down, he described “23 Impactful lessons for Every Christian” as a collection of essential lessons from the Christian journey by the author as borne out of a desire to provide guidance, insights and reflections for fellow travelers on the path of faith as each lesson is a beacon of light, illuminating our way through the complexities of life” navigating through the challenges, joys and profound truths that define our Christian mandate. He hoped these lessons would serve as companions in offering solace with wisdom in every sphere of life.

While dedicating the books, Pastor (Dr.) E.E Offiong, Field Secretary of TACN, Calabar Field, Cross River Territory called on Christians to change the narrative in witnessing to win souls for Christ by launching out in faith. He dwelt on the transformative impact of the books and the testimonies to be experienced by those who read the books. He recommended them as a “must-read” manual for true witnesses of Christ to get-up from pews in the church.

The author expressed his deepest gratitude to Pastor (Prof.) S.W. Bassey and others who contributed to the success of the books as they were the force behind his strength and inspiration to make the dream real.
