On Saturday July, 24th 2021, Calabar the Cross River state capital stood still when a former senior sales representative of Guinness Nig. Ltd. and graduate of the Mount Zion Light House Bible College, His grace, Archbishop Nyong Davies Ayakndue (JP) was inaugurated as the seventh national president, registered trustee/General Overseer of the Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church Inc. No. 9 Inyang street Calabar.
The ceremony was performed at the mission international headquarters of the church by collaborative efforts of Archbishop E. J. Udofia, prelate of the African church Nigeria and the General Overseer of Intercessors Bible Mission (IBM) and former chairman of Christian association of Nigeria (CAN) Cross River State. Others are Bishop F.E Ekiso Head of international Mission (TMZLHFGC) and Bishop Dr. A.I.R Umondia, zonal overseer (TMZLHFGCI) Eket. The Mission Legal Adviser/Registrar administered the oath of office
In his message of felicitation, chairman planning committee, Bishop (Dr.) S.B. Atai (JP) noted that no man takes this honor to himself, for every High Priest is taken from among men as is called by God, so it was with King David when the entire Israel came with all manner of instruments and with one heart to make him King, hence it is divine enthronement.
Also speaking, His Lordship Bishop (Prophet) Eddy S. Zion, Diocese Superintendent of Ukwa Eket Diocese Headquarter, Akwa Ibom State and Superintendent Zonal Bishop of Abuja, Bishop (Rear Admiral) Ekwere U. Ekwere (Rtd.) expressed joy and prayed for God to endow him with wisdom to lead the mission to the glory of God.
In their separate appreciation at the epoch making occasion, the co-ordinator of Lagos territory, Bishop (Amb.) Ibanga Inyangson, JP. DD, the mission general secretary, Apostle Elijah Philips (JP) and secretary of planning committee, Bishop (Chaplain) A.M. Archibong JP, said God has made everything beautiful in his time and wished the 88year patriach of the church from Afaha Offiong in Nsit Ibom local government area of Akwa Ibom State good health, God’s protection and strength to carry on the onerous task of leading the foremost spiritual church in Nigeria and diaspora who in his acceptance speech urged the body of Christ to continue to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.
