Asan Ibibio: Oku Ibom Ibibio eulogizes Gov. Udom for restoring image of traditional institution
The President General of Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers Council and the patriarch of Ibibio people, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk, CFR has lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration for impacting on the traditional institution in the State.
The royal father said this Monday, May 8, 2023, at the occasion of the formal inauguration of the ultra modern Asan Ibibio complex in Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo, the ancestral home of the Ibibios’.
Etuk, who is also the Oku Ibom Ibibio noted that the governor’s policy of rebuilding and strengthening the traditional institution in the state has restored its pride of place as the custodian of the heritage and cultural values of the Akwa Ibom people.
The premier royal father noted that the numerous life-touching and landmark development projects commissioned by the government of Udom Emmanuel across the State have placed the governor as a leader who mean well for the people and the State.
Oku Ibom Ibibio, who described the Asan Ibibio complex as an architectural master piece and a project that brings pride and dignity to not only the Ibibio’s but the entire State, stressed that Governor Emmanuel’s leadership of the State has done Akwa Ibom people proud.
While calling on the Ibibio’s in particular and Akwa Ibom in general to continue to strengthen their bond of unity, togetherness and love for one another, the first class monarch said the people will miss the unique leadership disposition and the prudent managerial prowess of the governor as his tenure in office winds down.
Ntenyin Etuk, who is also the paramount ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, maintained that the State Traditional Rulers Council remains very grateful to the administration of Udom Emmanuel for the construction of the state-of-the-arts secretariat complex and building of the official residence for the Chairman, State Traditional Rulers Council, as well as prompt and timely welfare packages for the traditional rulers in the State among other largesse.
He commended the governor for his focused and Christ-centric leadership style, adding that the lasting peace and tranquility enjoyed in the State in the last 8 years, has in no small measure attracted enormous socio-economic benefits and development to the State.
He therefore urged Akwa Ibom people to continue to support both the present and the incoming government in the State in order to attract more democratic dividends to the people.
