The Onshore and OffShore Safety Institute (OOSI) in collaboration with Assemblies of God Church Nigeria, State Housing Estate Calabar is rounding up a two week professional training in maritime safety in Health Safety Environment 1,2,3 and Advance Oil and Gas Operational safety, Basic HSE and Advance HSE accredited by Department of Petroleum Regulatory Agency of Nigeria DPR for youths and job seekers in Cross River State.
The programme tagged No DPR/09isp/20/621117/N204711 include Cyber Security Awareness, First Aid & Fire Fighting Training, professional C.V writing class as well as swimming training and survival at sea.
Fielding questions from a LENS Reporter at the event venue, regional Coordinator of the Institute and Resource Person Mr. Binami A. Alali (AOOSI) said the importance of the training is to equip and impact unemployed youths in the Niger Delta to be gainfully employed in the Oil and Gas Sub-sector of Nigeria’s’ economy and in addition curb youth restiveness hence restoring peace to the South-South region of the Country.
Pastor of the Church and Host, Rev. Festus Afabe in a telephone conversation with LENS urged job seekers to take advantage of the unique opportunity to better their lives thereby impacting society positively.
