Atiku media office in Calabar hopeful of truce in PDP crisis soon
Arising from the face-off between the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and some aggrieved governors of the party who has refused to join the campaign train of Atiku for the 2023 general elections insisting instead on the resignation of the party chairman, Dr. Iyorcha Ayu before peace will reign, the office of the Special Assistant on New Media Operations to His Excellency former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said that there is no cause for alarm as the aggrieved G5 governors would join forces with the presidential campaign committee and council to return their principal winner in 2023.
Engr. Eta Uso Jnr the Special Assistant on New Media operations to Atiku Abubakar said there is still a window for negotiation and reconciliation in the crisis, it is hoped that the matter is resolved before January 17, 2023 visit of Atiku to Cross River State.
He said that since PDP has no parallel campaign committee and no other presidential candidate, the family would unite to deliver its presidential candidate as well as other candidates vying for other elective offices overlooking 2023.
He made this remark on Christmas day at the flag-off First Kite Festival of Ishie Town Annual Christmas village in Calabar, Cross River State stressing that both the Atiku/Okowa and Senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor, the Cross River State PDP governorship candidate, Caterpillar Campaign will close- ranks to achieve victory at the polls in 2023.
