Ayade warns PDP, says tolerance not sign of weakness

Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade has warned the People Democratic Party, PDP, against alleged injustice on the structure of the party in Cross River State, saying if not checked, the party will see a new Cross River State under his leadership.

Ayade stated this in Calabar when he received the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed in his office.

Ayade who said enough is enough on the poor treatment melted to him by the party, insisted that his tolerance should not be mistaken for weakness.

He said at the appropriate time, the political family in the state will speak with one voice in a way that will be beneficial to all the citizens of Cross River State.

The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed said he was in the state on what he called peer review mechanism visit, hoping that there will be a meeting ground that will be a win win situation. He says an injustice to Governor Ayade is an injustice to Bala Muhammed.

The Two PDP Governors said Internal democracy within political parties is the bedrock of acceptability any where in the world.
