Buhari in Virtual Meeting with Past Nigerian leaders
President Muhammadu Buhari is in a key virtual meeting with former Nigerian leaders. The meeting which started at about 9 am today from the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja is chaired by President Buhari.
The former leaders participating virtually from their homes include Generals Yakubu Gowon, Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Ernest Shonekan and Goodluck Jonathan. .
Some high profile government officials that were physically present at the Council Chambers with the President comprised Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; and National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno.
Others are the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olanisakin; Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu; Director-General, Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi; and Director-General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai.
The meetings agenda currently ongoing behind closed doors may not be unconnected with the mood of the nation and finding appropriate solution to the lingering security challenges in the country.
