C’ River 2023: SDP assembly candidate decrys defacing of posters by oponents

As political parties engage in campaigns to woo electorates being an effort to win the 2023 elections, the Cross River State Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Calabar Municipal State House of Assembly, Mr. Francis Effanga has condemned and described as worrisome the continued destruction of his posters by those he referred to as agents of the opposition.

Mr. Effanga who disclosed this to newsmen in Calabar on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, said that the action if not checked may lead to anarchy which may impact the smooth transition to the newly elected office holder. `
He said having paid the stipulated fees to the appropriate government agency to expose campaign materials outdoors, vandals should be apprehended and dealt with according to the Law.

Mr. Effanga is challenging Rt. Hon. Efa Esua of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the incumbent member representing Calabar State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly and Mr. Stanley Boyce Nsemo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) among other party candidates contesting the 2023 general elections.
