C’ River govt charges contractors to expidite work on school project

Senator Stephen Odey, Executive Chairman of Criss River State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has charged Contractors handling the British Canadian International Model School at Obudu to speed up work ahead of its planned commissioning by Governor Ben Ayade.

Odey gave the charge in Obudu while inspecting the progress of work in the school.

He said he was pleased with the quality of work done and informed the contractor handling the project of the Governor’s desire to commission the model school within the first quarter of 2022.

“I am pleased with the quality of work you have done but you have to expedite action in order to complete this work within the first quarter of 2022 so that His Excellency will come for the commissioning, ” he said.

Responding, the project manager, Engr. Clifford Oyama assured the chairman of the readiness of the company to deliver the project on schedule.

It would be recalled that Senator Odey was recently reappointed after a brief stint at the Senate, as Senator representing Cross River North.

He was in Obudu on an inspection/monitoring tour of Public Primary Schools across the State.
