Calabar residents appeal for quick evacuation of decaying corpse
Residents of Tinapa in Calabar municipal council area in Cross River State have called on the State Ministry of Environment and the Calabar Urban Development Authority (CUDA) to evacuate a lifeless body outdoor.
A corpse is seen lying in the said junction for the past three days and beginning to ooze repugnant smells.
A resident of the area who talked to a LENS reporter on condition of anonymity said, “This is an appeal to the Cross River State Ministry of Environment and CUDA, to remove the corpse lying by a waste disposal spot just before Tinapa junction for more than three days now.”
“It’s so bad that it’s oozing and unhealthy for residents of the area. Please can the right authorities do something about this” he said.
