Calabar VC appoints new acting HOD’s

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi has appointed new acting Heads of Department (HODs) in a release made available to newsmen on Wednesday by the Public Relations unit of the institution.

In the letter dated 6/10 and signed by the VC, Dr. James Otoburu Okpiliya was appointed Acting Head of the Department of English and literary studies, Dr. Thomas A. Agbe as acting HOD of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Surveyor Gertrude Nanjar Njar is still HOD of Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics.

Other appointees include Dr. Robert W.C Nwaguma is appointed acting HOD of the Department of Architecture, Dr. (Mrs) Eme Effiong as acting HOD of the Department of Accounting, Dr. Simon .K. Ajom as acting HOD of the Department of Urban and Regional planning while Dr. Eyo .E. Essien as acting HOD of Department of marketing.

Obi charged the new acting HOD’s to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties as well as effective administration of their various departments within the two-year period of their engagement.
