The management of Champion Breweries Plc last week hosted Key distributors of their products and gave various packages to spur them up for greater business exploit in the years ahead.
In a well-organized event heralding the company’s 2017 distributor’s Award ceremony held at Helema Event centre Uyo, over 10 major distributors drawn from Uyo, Calabar and Aba districts went home with over 1000 crates of champion bear and champmalta among other gift items.
In addition, the highest total combined volume winner, INI franco is Ventures carted home two champion tricycles machine while the first runners up, Chinonso Uba Ventures went home with one tricycle machine to help them in distributing the products to retailers.
At the event which was designed to also launch the branded champion beer, the managing director of the company, Mr. Patrick Ejidoh expressed gratitude to the Award winning distributors for standing with the company through thick and thin. “It is on record that we have had some of the most loyal and committed distributors and customers that is why we design a day like this to say thank you”
The managing director revealed that the rebranded champion beer and chap malta have been brewed to meet the globally acceptable standard since the Heneken group took over majority shares of the company and “You are aware that the Henekien is a global brand”. He intoned.
According to him, champion breweries today is managed by a group of professionals drafted from the Nigeria Breweries to ensure a complete turnaround of the products and we are doing just that with utmost commitment. On June this year, we launched a new champion bottle with a premium quality beer into the market as part of the rebranding exercise. The bottle is not just elegant and sexy but very unique.
Mr. Patrick Ejidoh who also described the company’s Champmalta as a food drink for nourishment, announced that it is now the leading malt drink in the country.
He acknowledged that the company’s products have scaled all major regulatory hurdles to compete with the best beverages in the world and assured that through careful planning their products will soon be found in major cities across the country.
The managing director at the occasion announced that in few weeks, over 60 additional tricycles will be launched and distributed to enable distributors of the drinks take them to hinter lands to adequately serve the customers and consumers.
The Award winning distributors who spoke with reporters after the event expressed deep gratitude to champion breweries management for the various packages doled out to them to boost their Morales.
They assured the management of their resolve to redouble their efforts to ensure the progress and prosperity of the company through aggressive sales of the products.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Mr. Mshela Dauda,Akwa Ibom state coordinator of standard organization of Nigeria, Mrs. Angela Iwobi of NERSEA, Mr. Falana Samuel, state coordinator weights and measures, Mr. Collins Ogedengbe of NAFDAC among other high profile personalities from regulatory and beverages industries. Side attraction included dances from different troops as well as comedians who spiced up the event.
