Christian Council of Nigeria to fulfill mandate in 2021

The Christian Council of Nigeria, CCN, a recognized group of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has called for God’s protection and direction in the Affairs of the Nation.

The call was made at a breakthrough, tarry and praise night gathering held at AME Zion Church Cathedral Diamond Hill, Calabar on Friday   with the theme: Divine Restoration, taking scriptural reference from Joel 2:25.

According to CCN, the request became rife given the multiple Calamities that befell Nigeria in 2020 spanning the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and destruction of lives and properties arising from the ENDSARS protest.

Fielding Questions from a Lens Reporter, the Cross River State Chairman and Bishops Administrative Assistant of AME Zion Church, Rev. Dr. Takis Caiafas who was inaugurated on 23 July, 2019 at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Anglican Communion, having taken over from the outgoing Chairman, His Grace, Archbishop Tunde Adeleye, harped on unity of churches, upholding Christian living and witnessing in order to transform the society.

The leader of CCN in Cross River, Rev. Caiafas promised to uphold the mission statement by facilitating and building the capacity of member churches to achieve spiritual and all-round breakthrough in 2021.
