Clergy commends host community for thanksgiving to God
The Landlord Community to Gospel House, Home of the Gospel Deliverance Ministry International, Nkonib (Ikot Ansa) in Calabar Municipal Council Area, Cross River Sate have been commended for organizing a thanksgiving to acknowledge God for his benevolence to the clan.
Pastor James John, lead pastor of the Church in a chat with newsmen made the comment after his new year and 2024 first Sunday service at the church auditorium in Calabar on Sunday January 7, 2024.
Referencing Melody Beattie, an American author of self-help books on co-dependent relationships who said that “gratitude unlocks the fullness of life” averred it was obviously in alignment with her postulation, that the Nkonib (Ikot Ansa) Qua Clan Council organized a symposium and thanksgiving mass to end the year 2023. The event was held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ikot Ansa, where songs of praises and worship were offered to God for His blessings upon them and their endeavours.
After the mass, attendees retired to the Nkonib Royal Square for a banquet where the traditional hospitality of the people was showcased and with sumptuous delicacies served.
The Clan Head, Ntoe of Nkonib (Ikot Ansa) Qua Clan, HRM Ntoe Paul Assim Ita and Clan General Secretary/Chairman Central Planning Committee ensured the success of the event.
