Clergy Says Pandemic of God’s Glory Coming Soon in Nigeria

Rev. (Dr.) Usen Alexander Umoh, the Superintendent United Evangelical Church (UEC) founded as Qua Iboe Church, Mary Slessor Avenue, Calabar Municipal Superintendency has prophesied that Nigeria will soon begin to experience an unprecedented Miracles of Economy boom and quality leadership even as he urged the citizens to continue to keep faith in God.

He spoke with the Lens in Calabar during the year 2020 annual convention with the theme “Unleashing the abundance of Rain in times like these”.

The UEC superintendents said that the year 2020 is a difficult year in the whole world because of COVID-19 Pandemic and that God who makes things go up will equally cause things to go down gradually.

According to Rev. (Dr.) Usen A. Umoh “in times like these, we should return all thanks to God and whether the times are hard or not God is closer to His people the lesson of the year 2020 shall remain historic. The pandemic came from heaven that the world should depend and return to God”.

He disclosed that the United Evangelical Church founded as Qua Iboe Church is 133 years old in Nigeria and that it has spread to many States in the country.

The cleric further said that UEC Calabar Municipal Superintendency is five years old and that it is growing rapidly to many areas.

Rev. (Dr.) Usen Umah also said that some of the teething challenges facing the Calabar Municipal Superintendency is how to settle down, buy land and build churches in the town.

He appealed for commitment and obedience of members to develop, build the superintendency, sincerity in financial remittances from Church unites and sacrificial finances.

The cleric charged those who were baptized during the convention to live a life of holiness and righteousness.

Elder U.P. Nwankwo Chairman Planning Committee said that the 2020 annual convention was a huge success and that many lives were restored with Mary that many miracles.

He urged Nigerians to return to God, repent and allow God to do His will in the country.

Some Church members who spoke with our reporter expressed satisfaction on the 2020 UE.C. Convention stressing that it was a refreshing time in the presence of the Lord.

Our correspondent reports that Rev. (Prof.) Aniefiok Akpabio and Rev. Theodore Effiong were Guest speakers in U.E.C 5th Annual convention 2020.
