Clergy warns against taking terrorist threat lightly
The second attack on President Buhari’s guards in one month which has left eight soldiers dead and the frequent attacks on correctional facilities has become a source of concern to a former resident of Abuja and the Resident Minister of Family Worship Centre-FMC in Calabar Pastor Peter Oko Ekaji.
He bared his mind in a telephone conversation with a LENS reporter on Wednesday saying if the miscreants could attack the President’s convoy with impunity multiple times, then the lives of the ordinary citizens are in danger and therefore called for total overall security architecture in the country to forestall state of anarchy in a situation where Nigerians would be forced to take up arms in self-defense since the government cannot secure them.
Referencing Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your full stand against the schemes of the devil” called for prayers from religious groups in the country to overcome the invaders whose aim is to destabilize the country.
Family Worship Centre formerly at Gomay’s Plaza, Along Atekong drive, Calabar has relocated to Pepperoni Building, Efio-Ette Round-about Junction in Calabar, Cross River State.
