Cleric acknowledges the efficacy of prayer to turn around the economic hardship in Nigeria
The continuous complain of Nigerians over the economic hardship in the country has been described by a cleric and presiding Minister of Glorious Christian Assemblies Church Inc. as doing the wrong thing at the right time.
Pastor Sunday George made the remark in a sermon he preached at the Holy Communion Service on Sunday September 24,2023 at the Church auditorium in Calabar, Cross River State.
Referencing 2nd Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land” posited that with fervent prayers and spending the time people use in gossiping and murmuring in the place of prayers to seek the face of God for intervention in our present economic hardship exacerbated by the fuel subsidy removal, God will turn things around in the country.
He doubled down by stressing that “Prayer is the foundation of every victorious living, and in any vocation done with sincerity and hard work will be victorious above negative circumstances when priority is given to prayer for any project to be successful as without prayer with faith in God one cannot receive the attention of heaven for spiritual and financial breakthrough because those who refuse to pray are always helpless”.
He concluded by urging Nigerians in every religion to call upon God in this period of economic hardship because he will answer us, heal the land and show us the cryptic solution to our problems that we knew not.
Pastor George appealed to spiritual, political and traditional leaders to preach messages of tolerance for peaceful co-existence among citizens for Nigeria to experience development as no nation makes progress in an atmosphere of chaos, conflict, insecurity and political acrimony.
The Glorious Christian Assemblies Church Incorporated is headquartered at 31 Abasi Edem Street, Calabar South, Cross River State with branches in and outside Cross River State.
