Cleric Condemns Erotic Version of Valentine

The General Overseer of Fruitful Vine Gospel Church a.k.a Dimond city, Apostle (Prof.) Kyrian Ojong has condemned the negative perception of people about Valentine and how they go about celebrating it.

Ojong who is the Head of Philosophy Department in the University of Calabar made the remark while fielding questions from Lens reporter at a service to commemorate the event. He referenced John 15:13 which harped on agape love as the essence, not the twisted application where immorality and lust of the flesh is promoted instead.

He said sacrificial love for one another is the reason for Valentine and urged the people to copy the love of Christ for mankind and that of Saint Francis of Assisi who sacrificed their lives to promote genuine agape love. This is the only way people can attract blessings in the celebration.
