Cleric Decries Neglect of Moral Values in Society
Chairman of Education Board in Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN) Rev. Israel E.E.Eyo has lamented the fall in moral values which he said was responsible for the high crime rate among youths in the country .
Rev Israel Eyo is a former principal of Hope Waddel Training Institution (HOWAD) and recently retired as Chaplain of Chapel of Redemption, University of Calabar blamed parents, the church and school authorities for failing in their duty and responsibility to inculcate moral virtues in our children thereby leaving room to peer influence.
And pressured by Lens reporter in the conversation to comment on why his name change from Nsa to Israel took a long while, precisely 67 years, he explained that it was through prophetic utterance in July 2020 at the chapel in University of Calabar. He recanted insinuations of any parochial attachment to the act.
