Cleric harps on benefits of having faith in God
The Senior Pastor of Assemblies of God church, No. 5 Chief Obot Close, State Housing Estate branch off Marian Road, Calabar in Cross River State, Rev. Unimniake Joseph Ugbe has urged believers to pose the attribute of living by faith and have faith in God in every circumstance they may find themselves in life as God is able to change and turn things around for their favour.
Rev. Unimniake made the speech in a sermon he preached on Sunday, July 10, in the church auditorium titled “LIVING IN FAITH” referencing Habakkuk 2:4. “Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith” stressing that developing confidence in God when face by challenges is the only antidote that puts the enemy to flight as the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to pulling down strongholds.
He concluded by saying that we should imbibe the habit of reading and digesting the word of God to know the mind of God on any issue as faith cometh by hearing and believing the word of God, learning to trust God to make impossible things possible.
He used the occasion to call on the body of Christ to pray against invasion and killings in churches in the country which has thrown many families into sorrow and says there is a ray of light and hope at the end.
