Cleric harps on benefits of praise in the life of a Christian

Pastor James John, lead pastor of Gospel House, The Home of the Gospel Deliverance ministry international in his word ministration at the grand finale of a 3 days choir convention Thanksgiving service 2024 tagged, “I will Praise Him” (Psalm 28:7) on Sunday October 27th 2024 dwelt on the need to wait on the timing of God.

Referencing Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer,” explained that instead of resorting to self help by ignoring the timing of God in a life which if endured, leads to joy, people often opt to fastrack time.

Doubling down, he emphasized that those who wait upon the lord and follow his timing shall have their strength renewed and would mount on wings like the eagles when faced with difficult times.

Pastor John said the theme of the 2024 programme is apt, taking into cognisiance the damage done to youths by the ‘get-rich-quick’ syndrome among the genzees where young people instead of being diligent in self – development and focusing on God, prefer the quick path which leads to self – destruction and untimely death.

The event started on Thursday October 24th 2024 wind down on Sunday October 27th 2024 and featured praise, worship and word ministration by invited guests including Hope praise, Peace Bassey, Idara and Andy Ibekwe ministering under the unction of the holy spirit.

The co-lead pastor, Evangelist Mrs. Dorathy James John in her ministration charged the youths to imbibe the spirit of patience in every circumstance of life because while prayer changes things, praises moves the hand of God. She stressed that when one prays to God to attract his presence to impact life, praises brings down God’s presence.

Sister Angella Ayi in her closing remark, thanked God for the success of the spiritual convocation.
