Cleric harps on submission by adherents as panacea to fostering good relationship

The superintendent of Great Obutong Area in The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Akpabuyo Field, Cross River Territory, Pastor (Dr.) Etim Duke, JP has urged Christians to submit to one another in the family, church and larger society as a necessity for a good and cordial relationship.

Pastor Duke gave the charge in a sermon he preached at a thanksgiving service held on Sunday July 7, 2024 to commemorate the monthly first Sunday of the month spiritual convocation, saying God has specific duties for people to act appropriately submitting ourselves one to another in love, respect in humility and patience for the proper functioning of the human community failure of which there will be chaos in the society. This lifestyle is key in any inter personal relationship to bolster good brotherliness among people.

Referencing Ephesians 5:20-21 “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God” he concluded that submission is the magic wand to birthing peace in human co-existence whether in the family, church and the society.
