Cleric identifies disobedience as setback to Nigeria’s progress
The General Overseer of God’s Kingdom Miracle & Revival Church Inc, Rev. (Capt.) John Esi has said that disobedience is the bane to Nigeria’s progress.
Rev. Esi made the remark at the First Anniversary and new year message in the church Auditorium at No 6 Effio Okon Street, off Old Parliamentary Road, Calabar, Cross River State.
Referencing Genesis 3:3 “But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it lest ye die” said that Nigeria would have been one of the greatest nations in the world taking her rightful place as the giant of Africa if its citizens had obeyed the laws of God and desist from cutting corners to get-rich-quick instead of waiting for God’s appointed time.
He admonished Nigerians to abhor disobedience which has consequences and described disobedience as a deliberate and intentional act to flaunt constituted laws and authority, stressing that disobedience is the mother of corruption which has eaten deep into the fabric of the society inviting violence to correct the abnormality in governance with the hope of achieving development that robs off on the standard of living of the people.
God’s Kingdom Miracle and Revival Church have soul winning as its mandate with the Motto: Anointed for Exploit drawn from Acts: 10:38.
