Cleric wants divine touch to turn around Nigeria’s economy, recede impact of hardship on citizens

A cleric and minister-in-charge of the Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church Inc, Ediba Perculiar Assembly, Kasuk Town Diocese, Calabar Apostle Andrew E. U. Anyanwu has prayed God to intervene and heal the land of Nigeria in a sermon he delivered on Sunday April 28, 2024.

His concern is not unconnected with the severe hunger and anger over the astronomical increase in food prices resulting in people across cities in Nigeria to engage in mass looting of foods in warehouses and trucks.

Referencing Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after,” he posited that God in his infinite mercy would turn-around the economic dilemma of Nigeria.

In her contribution, wife of the Minister, Pastor (Mrs.) Andrew Anyanwu corroborated and quoted 2nd Chronicles 7:14” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin, and will heal their land” implored Nigerians to forsake sin and confess it and cry and return to God with a changed heart for Him to restore fortune to the land as God’s eyes is open and His ears open to hear and respond to prayers from a broken and contrite heart.

The church situated at No. 3 Ediba Close was filled to capacity during the worship service and featured deliverances, testimonies, miracles and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
