Coalition group for Peter Obi endorses PDP governorship candidate in Cross River
The Obidient Movement, a political group for the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party Mr. Peter Obi in Cross River State under the umbrella Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) has endorsed and agreed to support the candidature of Senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections.
The Coalition for the Labour Party presidential candidate is a congregation of like minds for Peter Obi: Nigeria Needs Peter Obi, Peter Obi Support Network, Take Back Naija Movement, Women For Peter Obi, Peter Obi FC, Peter Obi Movement for President, Peter Obi Candidacy Movement, Peter Obi Ambassadors, POGG. And Peter Obi 4 Good.
In a statement signed by Mr. Daniel Ofem, CPO lead Coordinator, Dr. Mattem Ebim CRS Director of Support Groups, PCC/Peter Obi Movement, POM, Mr. Kinie Williams, Mrs. Myra Benson, Dr. Araga of Peter Obi to the Rescue, Peter Orok, Peter Obi Vanguard Ambassadors, Prince Mark Ettan, Sir Obi Bankong Obi, KSJ, Obi/Datti Youth Support Alliance, Engineer Emmanuel Umoh, Peter Obi 2023 Support Movement, PO2023SN said the endorsement became imperative since the Labour Party in Cross River State have no governorship candidate just as the party’s state Chairman who doubles as the LP candidate has always described himself as a place holder and has not put up any serious efforts to convince anybody that he is contesting the election.
The Coalition urged all members of the Obidient Movement to cast their votes for Senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor of the PDP.
It added, “Senator Onor’s sterling qualities and achievements in all the positions he has held ranging from the time he was elected as the Executive Chairman of Etung Local Government Area through his tenures as a two-term Commissioner in the state and as a sitting Senator Representing the good people of Cross River Central Senatorial district has proven that he is a man of his word and that he is capable of offering better leadership to Cross Riverians if elected to govern them as the only viable option in Cross River State”.
