Coalition of parties in Cross River adopt Onor PDP candidate for March 18 guber polls
The Coalition of opposition political parties (COPPS) in Cross River State chapter have formerly endorsed and adopted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate Sandy Onor ahead of the March 18, 2023 polls.
The Coalition made up of not fewer than 10 political parties said they decided to collapse their structures in support of Senator (Prof.) Sandy Onor’s candidacy after their extra-ordinary meeting held on Friday March 10, 2023 to review the state of affairs in the polity.
Recall a few days ago, notable Religious and Social – Cultural and Political groups including the Ejagham Stakeholders Forum (ESHF), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the OBIDIENT Movement had endorsed Senator Onor as their preferred governorship candidate.
In a statement issued by the Chairman of COPPS, Mr. Ntami Esege on behalf of the ten political parties said the decision to team up with the PDP candidate is based on the fact that Senator (Prof.) Sandy Ojang Onor has the right credentials and ability to lead the state to an enviable height because of his competence, capacity and character.
The political parties include, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), All Peoples Party (APP), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Action Democratic Party (ADP), Boot Party (BP) and the Accord Party (AP).
Mr. Esege pointed out that Senator Onor’s antecedent placed him above every other candidate for the job of leading the state and recover it from the present predicament overlooking the next four years.
