Comedy icon ‘Basketmouth’ berats real estate company for defrauding him of N32m deposit

A popular Nigerian comedian and actor Bright Onyekwere Okpocha known on stage as Basketmouth has lamented his ordeal with a real estate company that he said had defrauded him of N32million naira.

He revealed this on his social media handle while drawing the attention of the public to the company, stressing that they failed to deliver on his house or make a refund of his money.

The entertainment icon said the process of buying the property started 14 years ago after he made the down payment of N32 Million for a house in Prime Water View Estate, in Lagos.

“I put an N32million down payment for a house in Prime Water View estate 14yrs ago,” he wrote.

At a point according to him, the severity of the problem prompted the company and bank funding the project to approach the court.

“They had some issues with the bank funding the project that landed both parties in court. After the matter was resolved I started hearing all sorts of stories concerning the delivery of the house and the refund”.

The lingering feud has now prompted him to ask his fans for advice, stressing that he has been patient enough to call out the individual or company concerned.

“14yrs later I’m yet to get my refund, house, or even BQ sef. If I call this man/company out now, do you think I waited long enough?

“Do you guys think I’ve been patient enough?”
