Cross River 2023: NRM governorship candidate wants to review food on the table policy of Ayade administration

As the 2023 general Elections near, the governorship candidate of the National Rescue Movement in Cross River State, Mr. Patrick Solomon aka “Patsol” has promised to review the food on the table policy of the Ayade administration geared towards diminishing poverty if elected.

Solomon disclosed this in a Town-Hall meeting with members of the public in Calabar on Tuesday where in the company of his deputy Mr. Mathias Amgbah answered questions bothering on governance in the State.

The accomplished computer systems engineer said since he has an extensive network with the people built over the years across all sectors and segments of the State, he is intimately aware of the problems and has the requisite experience and capacity to assemble a proficient and skilled workforce to address them.

In his contribution, the deputy, Mathias Amgbah hinted that in their first 100 days in office, they will focus on laying a solid foundation for a cost-efficient, streamlined, high-productive, and result-driven government and civil service.

The parley was rounded-up with the proposal for a community-based waste management system to empower residents of city centers across the three senatorial districts. And in addition, to generate revenue and partake in the Economic prosperity blueprint of Public Safety and Security, Economic growth and Growth & Revitalization which is critical to infrastructural development and management.

Dignitaries at the event held in the PATSOL hall situated off Marian Road were units, wards, and chapter executives of NRM in Cross River State.

Former VC endorses LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi

Prof. James Epoke the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar has been appointed a member of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, PCC confirming his endorsement of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate and former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.

He spoke to journalists in Calabar over the weekend, where he explained that the appalling Socio-Political situation in the country is what gingered him to join the Labour Party as a conduit to reverse the abnormality.

The academician and administrator who was appointed an electoral umpire by INEC during the 2015 general elections said Nigeria cannot continue to wallow in mindless corruption, poor administration, insecurity of lives and properties, and consumption economy hence he took time to study Nigeria’s situation and found the candidacy of Mr. Peter Obi on the platform of the Labour Party suitable to.

Though he used to be an electoral umpire but decided to come out fully to contribute to national development and lamented that there has been terrible corruption in the country, avowed that with Peter Obi as President, he will tackle the vice headlong, restore and reshape the economic fortunes of the nation and urged Nigerians not to miss this opportunity of righting the wrong for posterity.
