Cross River 2023: SDP assembly candidate to constitute campaign council

The Social Democratic Party, SDP candidate for Calabar Municipality State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly Mr. Francis Effanga Edet has promised to announce members of his campaign council for the forthcoming 2023 polls soon.

This is in line with the party’s National Chairman, Mallam Shehu Gabam’s directive that all campaign chairmen of the various campaign units are to immediately activate their Local Zonal and state campaign offices for mobilization of votes.

According to him during a chat with newsmen on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, he is waiting for clearance from the state SDP office to go ahead. Francis is the son of late Chief Effanga Edet, erstwhile staunch PDP stalwart from Ikot Abasi Obori, landlord community to Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital-Calabar.

He disclosed that those to be selected are the leaders and members of each segment of the campaign team based on their track records so as to deliver victory for SDP in the 2023 general elections and vowed to change the narrative in representation if elected.
