Cross River APC chieftain charges trainees of BOA skill acquisition program to utilize the opportunity to improve their livelihood

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Odukpani/Calabar Municipality Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Ntufam Edim Inok has implored trainees in the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) Sponsored Skill Acquisition Training and Empowerment Program at Okon Inok Center, Ediba, Calabar Municipal Council Area, to leverage on the rare opportunity to add value to their lives.

Ntufam Inok made the plea on Wednesday September 11th 2024 while addressing participants at the event where they are undergoing skill acqusition training in various trades and crafts.

Earlier, a resource person from the Bank of Agriculture had explained that the project which is a Federal Government Intervention initiative to cushion the effect of the current economic hardship in the country is meant to impact youths with life skills rather than distributing funds for frivolies. He said that monies dispensed to trainees as empowerment after the program would be monitored to ensure judiciouse use.

In his contribution, one of the participants, Pastor Mfon Effiong Umoh thanked Hon. Ntufam Edim Inok for attracting the skills acquisition and empowerment program to ward “3” in Calabar Municipal Council Area, which will bolster their lives economically.

The four weeks BOA Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Program is on-going simultaneously at the Women Development Center, Old Parliamentary Extension village road, Calabar and Ikot Ansa center in Calabar, aside other venues in Cross River State, has grants ranging from 250,000 to 2m designated for successful graduants.
