Destination Cross River, the nations paradise came alive as Spirit of Enterprise Conference celebrated her ” World’s Entrepreneurs Day 2021″ themed “The Effect of Industralisation on Entrepreneurship Development”.
The event held at EDC conference hall, Prof. Eyo Ita House in Calabar was organised by the SA Entrepreneurship Development to Governor (Prof.) Ben Ayade, Mr. Great Ogban had in attendance the Director General of SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Padda.
Special Guest of Honour was Hon. Peter Egba, Commissioner for Industry Cross River State. Key note speaker was Rt. Hon. George O’Ben-Etchie, Chairman Commissioners Forum Cross River State as Chairman of the occassion.
In the paper presentations, Hon Peter Egba spoke on theme of the conferrence. Mr. Lawrence Ekpezu, MD LUXBOR dwelt on “Entrepreneurship Training”, Mr. Moses Siasia talked on “SME proliferation: The Benefits of Economic and Nation Building” and Mr. Omodele Adebola on “Doing Business in Cross River, oppoortunities and challenges.”
The chairman of the occassion unvailed the Spirit of Enterprise Awards to nominees for 2021 by presenting certificates to High Chief Asuquo Ekpenyong, Dr. Inyang Asibong and Mr. Omodele Ayodele for their contributions to the industry in the state. While Mr. Pius Neji of Bank of Industry appealed to Cross Riverians to avail themselves of the bueiness opportunities that abound in BOI by keying into it.
Among participants at the programme was Ms. Ester Asanga, a food supplement distributor. Goodwill messages were received from Special Adviser, CED, Mrs. Kate Ajibibe, Special Adviser- EDF, Hon. Mrs. Majorie Asuquo and Dr. Atsu Ignatius- DG Media.
The confab was rounded off with a tour to Ayade Industrial Park and Marina Resort, venue of Nigeria flavours event.
