Cross River College of Permanent Secretaries felicitate Eteng on his HOS appointment; Otu’s birthday

As encomiums continue to pour on the elevation of Dr. Innocent Eteng to the position of Head of Service (HOS) in Cross River State civil work space, the Provost of the College of Permanent Secretaries, Barrister Peter Bassey has commended Governor Bassey Otu for finding one of their own worthy for the top job in the state public service.

Speaking through the Public Relations Officer of the group and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Youths Development, Comrade Samuel Egbala, in a telephone chat with LENS Reporter on Saturday October 21st 2023, extolled the administrative acumen of Dr. Eteng describing his appointment as planting a square-peg-in a square hole anticipating his performance to take the state civil service to the next level aligning with international best practice.

The former Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria Chronicle and VP of the Nigeria Guild of Editors as well as two term Chairman, National Trustee of the NUJ in Cross River on behalf of the Head of Service and chairman of college of permanent secretaries, Dr. Innocent Eteng joined millions of Cross Riverians to celebrate the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu on his 64th birthday, saying the Governor is the champion of the people, a peace lover, a humanist loved by many in particular the civil/public servants and indeed Permanent secretaries, whom he has always shown concern about their welfare by giving hope and confidence to the people of the State through his people first mantra. He pledged total loyalty and commitment to ensure the success of the Peoples First Administration.
