Cross River Education Ministry orders public and private schools to resume January 8

The Cross River State Ministry of Education has reminded all public and proprietors of private schools that the earlier January 8, 2024 resumption date stands.

In a statement dated 2nd January 2024 referrenced MOE/SEC/544/Nol.1/20, signed by Mrs. Amos Okama Ubi, Director of Schools for the Commissioner for Education – Stephen Odey insists all schools adhere to the earlier announced resumption date for the second term 2024/2025 academic session.

The statement read in part: “I have the directive of the Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey Ph.D to remind you that the resumption date for all private and public secondary and primary schools in the State remains the 8th of January, 2024.

“This is to reiterate the earlier directives on the uniformity in the academic calendar which must be strictly adhered to. Please be guided.”
