Cross River Environment Ministry announces sanitation exercise for November

As precursor to Africa’s biggest street party, ‘Carnival Calabar’ in December, 2024, the Cross River State Ministry of Environment in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders is conducting a state wide environmental sanitation exercise for the month of November on Saturday, 30th November, 2024.

A public service announcement by Sylvia Okoi, Information Officer in Cross River State Ministry of Environment on behalf of the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi urged business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their surroundings during the period of sanitation. It stated that restriction of human and vehicular movements begins from 7:00am to 10:00am except for those on essential duties as defaulters would be prosecuted by the relevant security agencies in the State.
