Cross River government reschedules time of monthly sanitation
Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Executive Governor of Cross River State has shifted from 8am to 10am, the usual time of the monthly sanitation exercise to 6:30am to 8:30 for Saturday February 24th 2024.
The development is due to the monthly Solemn Assembly organized by the office of the First Lady, Rev. (Mrs.) Eyoawan Bassey Otu slated to hold at the International Conference Centre, Calabar.
Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi has directed strict compliance and appeal for synergy from all relevant government agencies like the Calabar Urban Development Authority and Security forces to ensure the success of the exercise aimed at maintaining the green status of Calabar metropolis.
The sudden change in time was announced by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche in a press release Thursday, February 22nd 2024 and broadcasted in all radio and television stations in the state.
