Cross River government suspends April sanitation for JAMB examination
Cross River State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu has approved the suspension of environmental sanitation exercise for the month of April, 2025.
This was contained in a public service announcement dated April 24, 2025 and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nsa Gill. It was confirmed by the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi.
The sanitation exercise was initially slated for 26th April, 2025 before the cancellation. According to the announcement, it is to enable movement for students and officials participating in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations.
Residents and business proprietors are encouraged to uphold the ethos of cleanliness and environmental stewardship by attending to their surroundings, clearing drainages and gutters as well as responsibly disposing of their waste.
