The fire which gutted about 12 shops and destroyed properties worth millions of naira is an unfortunate loss to the affected individuals and entire community.
Both legislators promise to assist the victims while setting up a 13-man fact finding committee to ascertain the true cause of the fire as well as preventing future occurrences. They called on all well-meaning citizens to rally round and support the victims of this unfortunate incident as they strive to resusitate their livelihoods.
Hon. Omini while empathizing with the victims prayed that such occurence do not happen again in the community.
Hon Egbona while addressing the traders directly said as their representative, he will do everything within his power to bring help to them and would not allow the government to rest until they have responded to their plight by providing healing balm for all the affected persons that have lost properties in the inferno. He vowed to stand by them at this period of their travails which is a setback not only to the affected traders but the entire traders and by extension Ugep Federal Constituency.
And in describing the inferno as destabilizing, thanked God that the fire which started and woke up traders in the wee hours of Saturday April 15, took no life
