The former Deputy President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors was reported to have died on August 5 at the age of 68.
His remains begin the final journey back to mother earth today Wednesday with the opening of mourning and visitation by friends and associates to his residence in Calabar.
Obsequiae released by the family signed by his son, Charles Edim Itu reveals that there will be a service of song at Usang Iso Memorial Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Akim Qua parish on Thursday, 18, followed by funeral service at the same venue. Interment is on Saturday.
Late elder, His Highness Esinjo Ntufam PCC Oqua Edim Itu was a one-time Editor-In-Chief of the Nigerian Chronicle, a State-run newspaper house.
He was also a past governor for District 404 A2 Nigeria as well as multiple council chairpersons of the Lions club international. The departed was a socialite who garnered awards across the board including FNGE, FNISM, MJF, and others.
